![]() ![]() All drivetrain components are new, including shaft, log, shaft, and connecting parts from H&H Smith in Algonac, MI. The Velvet Drive transmission has been totally overhauled. Everything in and on this motor has either been replaced or rebuilt. The motor was completely frozen which required a complete overhaul.īoat power is 352 cu.in. The boat was a candidate for restoration. It was stored for the last time in 1979 and sat for close to 30 years. This one-owner boat was purchased at Reiman's Marine in Conneaut Lake, PA in 1962. That was followed with Interlux 2000E bottom epoxy primer. Every piece of lumber that was replaced on this boat was treated with Smith’s clear penetrating epoxy sealant where appropriate. At least 15 coats of Epifanes varnish was applied. Sandusky Century stain was used on hall mahogany. All hull material was replaced with book matched African mahogany 1/2” planks. White oak was used to replace transom bow, main and sub frames s stem, gripe, keel and battens. ![]() From stem to stern, bottom to top deck inside and out no detail has been overlooked.Ī new 5200 double bottom using 1/16 Marine plywood 7/16 African mahogany. This boat has been meticulously restored to as close to original or better condition as possible. It works perfectly with new bearings and tires. The trailer is said to be original to the boat. Extensive receipts and documentation on the boat including a copy of original factory brochure. Because it’s used frequently it’s not a show queen. We use this boat locally and really enjoy it. Bottom painted and waterline stripe redone. Gauge panel sent out for refresh and dripless shaft unit being installed. Modern raw water pump to replace gear driven unit. I also had Van Nesse rebuild the carb and rebuild the distributor with electronic kit. New upholstery, New fuel tank were installed. The boat was striped and new stain and varnish were applied. I had the hull and decks repaired with some new planks, The bottom was refastened and made a no soak bottom with GFLEX. The engine/gear had been rebuilt and all the chrome was redone. Bought this boat as a stalled restoration of a very original and lightly used boat. ![]()
